We have been hearing lots of rumors about the new Samsung Foldable smartphone or the Samsung Galaxy X. The handset is a big deal for Samsung and the device will be launching at Mobile World Congress in February next year.
Samsung have apparently even bumped up the launch of the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus to January to accommodate the launch of their foldable smartphone.
We previously heard that the device would measure around 7 inches when folded out fully and that it would feature two 3.5 inch displays. According to a recent report the handset will not fold in half but will instead only fold two thirds of the way when it is folded away.
The apparent reason for this is because Samsung wants to leave part of the display accessible to users whilst in folded mode to allow for access to things like the time, notifications and more, exactly how this will work remains to be seen.
We have already seen some foldable smartphones with two separate displays, buy Samusng’s devices is said to feature a single flexible display that can be folded away. This is one handset we are looking forward to seeing.
As the Samsung Foldable smartphone will feature high end technology the handset is expected to be expensive and could be the most expensive smartphone that Samsung launches in 2019.
