We know the Samsung foldable smartphone is coming this year, Samsung previously confirmed this although they did not give any specific details on when we will see the handset.
Some rumors have suggested that we may see the new foldable smartphone at Mobile World Congress in February, although according to a recent report, we may have to wait until December to see the device. Some rumors had mentioned that Samsung could show off the device behind closed doors at CES.
Samsung will apparently start production of the displays for this new foldable smartphone in March of this year and could enter mass production in September. The display on the handset is rumored to measure around 7.3 inches and apparently can be folded inward.
We saw some patent sketches for the handset back in December, Samsung filed a patent for their foldable Galaxy smartphone with the USPTO back in December. This is one handset we are really interested in finding out more details about , although we may have to wait until December to see the device.
Samsung has a number of other new smartphones coming this year, we are expecting to see their new flagship smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus at Mobile World Congress next month.
