Japan’s Ratuken has announced that they are purchasing Skype rival Viber in a deal which is worth $900 million US dollars.
Viber has become increasing popular and now has more than 300 million users, its user base grew by 120 percent in 2013.
Rakuten Chairman and CEO, Hiroshi Mikitani, commented:
