The Qwerkywriter is an 84 key, USB, mechanical keyboard that has been specifically designed to simulate a tactile feel of a vintage typewriter, and features custom typewriter inspired keycaps for an authentic look.
As well as an integrated tablet stand, and a detachable USB cable via miniUSB port and is available to pledge for overrun the Kickstarter crowd funding website for $289. Its creator explains a little more about the mechanical keyboards designed and functionality:
“The Qwerkywriter’s tablet stand can accommodate a wide range of tablets up to 5/8 inches thick. For best results, we are trying to integrate wireless support as a possible stretch goal.
The Chrome Return Bar and the Platen Knobs on the side will function as a programmable macro function key! The Qwerkywriter you see in the video and picture below is an early hand built proof of concept prototype. The final shipping version will be CAD designed, machine tooled and factory assembled!”
