Philips has announced the launch of a new 27 inch curved monitor, this new curved monitor is designed for home users.
The new 27 inch Philips 278E8QJAB E-Line Monitor will go on sale in March and it will retail for £239 when it launches in the UK.
Immersive Viewing Experience
With an extremely small curvature radius of 1800 mm, the 278E8QJAB display provides a highly immersive experience as it increases the perception of depth and reduces picture distortion. This curvature is designed to wrap around the viewer’s field of vision, making it ideal for both entertainment and productivity tasks. Whether you’re watching movies, playing games, or working on complex spreadsheets, the curved design helps to create a more engaging and comfortable viewing experience.
Combined with Adaptive-Sync technology, it provides a super-smooth viewing experience with no stuttering, tearing, or motion blur. This technology is particularly beneficial for gamers and video editors who require high frame rates and seamless transitions. Adaptive-Sync synchronizes the monitor’s refresh rate with the frame rate of the output device, ensuring that the visuals remain crisp and fluid.
Advanced Features and Specifications
The Philips 278E8QJAB E-Line Monitor is not just about its curvature; it also boasts a range of advanced features that make it a standout choice in the market. The monitor supports Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), ensuring that images are sharp and detailed. Additionally, it covers a wide color gamut, which means it can display a broader range of colors, making it suitable for photo and video editing.
The monitor also includes built-in stereo speakers, providing a convenient audio solution without the need for external speakers. This feature is particularly useful for users who want a clean and clutter-free desk setup. Moreover, the monitor comes with multiple connectivity options, including HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA, making it compatible with a wide range of devices.
“The latest 27-inch addition to our curved range takes curved displays even further into the mainstream. But this is just the start – we will bring a comprehensive line-up of curved monitors to the market this year. This emphasizes the commitment of MMD to innovative technology that makes work and play easier and more enjoyable for users,” says Artem Khomenko, Product Manager Philips monitors Europe at MMD.
Ergonomic and Eco-Friendly Design
Philips has also paid attention to the ergonomic aspects of the 278E8QJAB monitor. The stand is designed to offer tilt adjustments, allowing users to find the most comfortable viewing angle. This is particularly important for reducing eye strain and neck pain during extended periods of use. The monitor also features Philips’ LowBlue Mode and Flicker-Free technology, which help to reduce eye fatigue by minimizing harmful blue light emissions and screen flicker.
In addition to its ergonomic features, the Philips 278E8QJAB is designed with sustainability in mind. The monitor is made from eco-friendly materials and is free from harmful substances like mercury and lead.
