Parallels has this week announced the launch of their new remote desktop Parallels Access 2.0 application which is now available to download from both the Apple iTunes App Store and Google Play.
Parallels Access 2.0 expands the remote desktop of the Access service to both Apple’s iPhone and Android smartphones enabling users to easily remotely control their desktop while on the move from their phone.
Subscriptions for the Parallels Access Remote Desktop service starts at $20 for one year for $35 for two years. Providing users with access to up to 5 remote computers from an unlimited number of smartphone devices.
Parallels also rolled out its new service Parallels Access for Business which it hopes will differentiate it from the competitors currently in the same market such as LogMeIn, GoToMyPC, and SplashTop Remote to name just a few.
The new Parallels Access for Business enables administrators to easily manage Parallels Access accounts for their users, with subscriptions starting from $50 per year to five computers.
Currently Parallels is running a trial service that allows administrators to add an unlimited number of computers and users for free until July 31st, 2014. At which point the free accounts will then be transferred to a paid subscription. President of Parallels Yakov “Jack” Zubarev explained :
“What this does is provide the most reliable way to to remotely access all Windows and Mac applications from your phone or tablet,”
