Over the past few weeks, the folks at OnePlus have revealed additional information about their upcoming handset, the OnePlus One. The handset is expected to see the light of the day in the second quarter, but we have all the major details about the handset.
Today is no different as OnePlus CEO Pete Lau shared some details about the upcoming OnePlus One. The handset will come with StyleSwap covers which can be replaced with ease, without affecting the look of the handset. Currently, the back covers will be available in a several textures, including silk, sandstone, denim, bamboo, and kevlar.
What’s even more surprising is that these textures will be made from their own respective materials — Bamboo from Bamboo — except silk and sandstone. He also shared the textures each of the cover will bring with it, which can be seen below. What do you think about them?
With a number of different covers, you will still have the ability to customize your phone while continuing to protect it. The designs are elegant and attractive, but still durable and strong. No matter how often you like to change the look of your phone, there will always be a cover that will fit the mood. You no longer have to sacrifice either protection or appearance to take care of your phone. We want you to be able to adapt your phone as often as you like, and to any situation that you may find yourself in.
Lets just recall what we already know about the OnePlus One. The handset will rock a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 SoC, 13MP camera for photos and videos and a massive 3,100 mAh battery to make sure there’s enough juice for the handset. Best of all, this will be priced under $400, which is impressive.
