Nokia and Microsoft’s recent partnership will see Nokia producing Windows Phone 7 smartphones later this year, but it seems they may be slightly different than the current Windows Phone 7 devices available today.
It looks like Microsoft will allow Nokia to totally customize their Windows Phone 7 OS on Nokia device, and they will be allowed to make as many modifications to the Windows Phone 7 OS as they want.
Although it looks like Nokia wont be adding a lot of things to Windows Phone 7, and will be keeping the modifications to a minimum, this should enable them to roll out Windows Phone 7 updates at the same time as other manufacturers.
It will be interesting to see what Windows Phone 7 will be like on Nokia smartphones, and if they are able to use the platform to turn around their smartphone business.
