We have been hearing rumors that Microsoft are working on a new Xbox console for some time, and now according to a recent report by Win Rumors, Microsoft may unveil the next generation Xbox at E3 2012.
Crytek is in the process of developing a new game for the next generation Xbox console, called TimeSplitters, according to VideoGamer, who report that the specifications for the new console haven’t been finalised but Crytek are apparently using Microsoft’s DirectX 11 to develop the game.
The Xbox 360 was released in November 2005, and is still one of the most popular consoles available today, sales of the Xbox 360 jumped in 2010 when Microsoft launched the Xbox 360 Kinect motion controller for the console.
We have no idea on what hardware will be inside the new Xbox 360, and no idea what it will be called although there has been speculation that it could be called the Xbox 720.
