As well as launching their new Chromebook 11 and Dell Latitude 11 Education Series laptops this week Dell has also added two new tablets to its range in the form of the Dell Venue 10 and Venue 10 Pro.
The new Dell Venue 10 tablet will be available in spring 2015 and the Dell Venue 10 Pro will be available to purchase next month from March 3rd 2015, priced at $329.99 for the tablet or $379.99 combined with the keyboard.
The new Dell Venue 10 tablet runs an operating system based on Google’s Android 5.0, and is one of the first tablets to be certified with Google Play for Education. The Venue tablet comes equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC) that enables teachers and students to bump devices together to transfer documents and files.
Both the new Dell Venue 10 and Dell Venue 10 Pro which comes running Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 operating system feature a 10.1 inch HD or Full HD display and offer 5 different working positions once combined with the optional keyboard. Dell explains a little more :
“The five positions make the most of different learning environments and include: clamshell for test scenarios and to use as a laptop, tent and stand positions to promote collaboration and sharing, and slate configuration for keyboard storage while in tablet mode. An optional active stylus also provides the pen and paper “inking” experience on a tablet.”
