New Cheaper Entry Level Apple iMac Launched

Apple iMac

Apple has launched their cheapest Apple iMac to date, the new 21.5 inch iMac is available for £899 in the UK and $1,099 in the US, and the device comes with a new processor.

The cheaper 21.5 inch iMac is available with a dual core 1.4GHz Intel core i5 processor with Turbo Boost, it offers speeds of up to 2.7GHz, and it comes with 8GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD as standard, the device also features Intel HD graphics 5000.

The other two models in the 21.5 inch Apple iMac range remain the same, the previous entry level model retails for the same $1,299 and the high end 21.5 inch model retails for $1,499.

There are no changes to the 27 inch Apple iMac range, the previous models are the same, and Apple has not changed any pricing on these.

We have previously heard rumors that Apple are working on a new Retina iMac, after references to the device with a Retina resolution were discovered in OS X Yosemite, as yet there are no details on when these may launch.
