Computer enthusiasts and hobbyists looking to build their very own Amiga 500 and Plus styles retro computer systems may be interested to know that Philippe Lang based in Singapore has created a range of new compatible cases that are available to purchase. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the new compatible A500(+) case that is the perfect replacement case for your ageing yellowed Amiga 500 case if you are lucky enough to own one.
“Manufactured with the same quality standards as the New Compatible A1200 cases, it comes with extended support for Apollo boards as well as USB/HDMI/SD cards ports. No more hassle opening the case to replace or connect anything.”
The modern production case is now available to back via Indiegogo with earlybird pledges available from $94 plus shipping which includes the case and case metal badge, screws for metal inserts, rubber feet, Apollo Vampire features. “The molds weigh several tons each and at least 3 of them are necessary to produce qualitative cases which are near identical to the original design. The improvements over the original design resulted in an increased rigidity and unaffected by UV light. For keyboards using Mitsumi switches, these keycaps are compatible with all Amiga models except the A1000 and some rare variations of A2000 & A500 having Cherry MX or Samsung switches. “
