If you have an older printer without AirPrint support, you might be interested in a new update that has been rolled out by Netgear for its Genie application for iOS and Android devices. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.
The new app update now works with software loaded on your Mac or Windows computer to allow you to print as if your printer was enabled with AirPrint support. Saving you the cost of having to splash out on a new AirPrint enable printer to print from your mobile devices.
The new Netgear Genie App provides users with control over your home network, allowing you to adjust your network settings, and remotely control your DLNA devices and watch DLNA media on mobile devices. Sandeep Harpalani, senior product line manager at Netgear explains:
“Before today to print from an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch the user needs to buy a new AirPrint-compatible printer,”-“Now, with the NETGEAR Genie App upgrade, you can simply print to your current printer at home from your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch as you do from your PC and MAC.”
