MSI Launches Three New Video Cards for Gaming Enthusiasts
Today marks the launch of three new video cards for gaming enthusiasts and overclockers from MSI. All three video cards use the new AMD R7950 GPU inside and have different cooling solutions and presumably different clock speeds. The coolest of the three cards uses MSI’s custom Twin Frozr cooling solution.
Advanced Cooling Solutions
That custom cooling solution promises 10°C lower temperatures and 13.7 dB less noise than traditional cooling systems. Better cooling means higher clock speeds to overclockers. MSI claims that you can overclock up to 37.5% more with the custom cooling solution. This is particularly beneficial for gamers who push their hardware to the limits to achieve the best performance possible.
In addition to the Twin Frozr, MSI has also introduced other cooling solutions for the remaining two cards. These include the Cyclone II and the Thermal Armor cooling systems. Each of these solutions is designed to cater to different user needs, whether it’s for silent operation or extreme overclocking capabilities.
Durability and Stability
It’s not clear what the clock speeds are on any of the new video cards. However, we do know that the video cards use military class III components for durability and stability. They also have special Hi-c capacitors with eight times the lifespan of normal solid-state capacitors. That means that the cards can be overclocked and still last longer than some other similar products.
Military class III components are known for their high quality and reliability. These components include solid capacitors, Super Ferrite Chokes (SFC), and Hi-c capacitors. Solid capacitors ensure a longer lifespan and better stability, while SFCs provide higher current capacity and efficiency. Hi-c capacitors, on the other hand, offer superior thermal performance and longevity.
Moreover, MSI has incorporated DrMOS technology in these video cards. DrMOS is a 3-in-1 chip that integrates the Driver IC, Top MOSFET, and Bottom MOSFET. This technology enhances power efficiency and reduces heat generation, further contributing to the overall stability and performance of the video cards.
For those who are concerned about the longevity of their hardware, MSI’s use of these high-quality components ensures that the video cards will remain reliable even under heavy usage. This is particularly important for overclockers who often push their hardware to its limits.
In conclusion, MSI’s new video cards offer a range of features that cater to both gaming enthusiasts and overclockers. With advanced cooling solutions, military class III components, and DrMOS technology, these video cards promise to deliver exceptional performance and durability. Whether you’re looking to achieve higher clock speeds or ensure the longevity of your hardware, MSI’s new offerings are worth considering.
