Earlier this month MSI launched their new mini desktop systems in the form of the MSI Cubi, that have been designed to compete with systems created by Zotac, Intel and Gigabyte in the form of the Brix.
If you have been patiently waiting for the MSI Cubi mini desktop PC systems to become available you will be pleased to know that MSI has now made the Cubi system is available to preorder with prices starting from just $150 for a 1.5 GHz Intel Celeron 3205U processor.
There are three mini systems in the range rising to a maximum of $280 and all three are equipped with processes that use Intel’s 14nm, 64-bit “Broadwell” architecture :
– 1.5 GHz Intel Celeron 3205U processor with black or white case for $150
– 1.9 GHz Intel Pentium 3805U processor with black or white case for $200
– 2 GHz Intel Core i3-5005U processor with black or white case for $280
MSI has made it possible to install a maximum of 8 GB of RAM and provided support for mSATA and 2.5 HDD storage if required. Together with connectivity provided by Bluetooth 4.0 and wireless 802.11 ac.
The MSI Cubi mini PC ships running Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 operating system although the system will also support Windows 7, Linux. Other connections include headset and microphone jack, 2 x USB 3.0 connections on the front as well as another two on the rear together with HDMI out, Mini DisplayPort out and a RJ45 LAN connection.
