Earlier today we saw some photos of the new HTC Pyramid, and now we have some photos of another new Android smartphone, the Motorola Droid 3.
Unfortunately, there really aren’t any specifications, but as you can see from the photos below, it features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and the display is reported to be around 4 inches.
Design and Build Quality
The Motorola Droid 3 appears to continue the legacy of its predecessors with a robust design and a focus on productivity. The slide-out QWERTY keyboard is a significant feature, catering to users who prefer physical keys over virtual keyboards for typing. This design choice is particularly beneficial for business professionals and heavy texters who require precision and speed.
The 4-inch display is a decent size, providing ample screen real estate for browsing, gaming, and multimedia consumption. While the exact resolution is not specified, it is likely to offer a good balance between clarity and battery efficiency, given the trends in smartphone displays around the time of its release.
Potential Specifications and Features
While we await the official specifications, we can speculate on some potential features based on the trends and advancements in smartphone technology during the period. The Motorola Droid 3 is expected to come with a dual-core processor, which would significantly enhance its performance, making multitasking smoother and more efficient. This would be a step up from its predecessors, aligning with the industry’s shift towards more powerful and capable devices.
In terms of storage, the Droid 3 might offer various internal storage options, possibly starting from 8GB and going up to 32GB, with the addition of a microSD card slot for expandable storage. This would cater to users who need ample space for apps, photos, videos, and other media.
Camera capabilities are another area where the Droid 3 could shine. A rear camera with at least 8 megapixels would be expected, along with features like autofocus, LED flash, and possibly 1080p video recording. A front-facing camera for video calls and selfies would also be a welcome addition, enhancing the device’s appeal to a broader audience.
As for connectivity, the Droid 3 would likely support 3G and possibly 4G LTE networks, ensuring fast internet speeds for browsing, streaming, and downloading. Other standard features would include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, making it a well-rounded device for everyday use.
As soon as we get some more specifications and details on the new Motorola Droid 3, we will update you. Until then, have a look at the photo gallery below.
