Back in February, Motorola hinted at the launch of the highly customizable Moto X in India and Australia. The handset was launched in Australia for A$549 yesterday.
Recently, FlipKart revealed that the Moto X will hit retail in India starting tomorrow, that is, March 19th for Rs. 23,999 (almost $390).
The retailer announced that it will be available in five different colors, and also the wood backs which will cost a little extra, that is, Rs. 25,999. Additionally, it says only the black and white color models will be available at launch, while people interested in the other color options can pre-order the device.
Unfortunately, the handset will only hit retail with 16GB storage on board, and there’s no word about the 32GB variant as of now. The news was revealed by Flipkart in response to a user who inquired about high storage model.
To attract more customers, Flipkart is also offering launch day discounts with up to 70 percent off on Moto X cases. In addition, they mentioned that it will be a day launch so you don’t have to stay up until midnight to grab the highly customizable Moto X.
As far as the specifications are concerned, it rocks a 4.7-inch 720p display, a dual-core Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 10MP ClearPixel camera, 2,200 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
