If you happen to be a proud owner of the Moto X (2014) Pure Edition, there’s a piece of good news for you.
Motorola has started rolling out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Moto X (2014) Pure Edition, which brings a handful of new features and enhancements on board.
The news came from Motorola’s David Schuster who dropped the good news that Motorola has received the approval to start rolling out Android 5.1 Lollipop for the unlocked Moto X (2014) in the US.
“I am happy to announce that we have been approved to start full deployment of the Android 5.1 Lollipop upgrade for Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition in the US,” says Motorola’s David Schuster on Google+.
The update is rolling out as we speak, and is sized at 440Mb so head over to Settings on your smartphone and see if the update is available for your handset.
As for the new feature, the company give users more control of the notifications, there are better interruptions options, device protection feature which requires users to enter their Google account credentials in case of theft or lost, even if the device is reset to factory settings, along with the usual bug fixes and improvements.
