We are expecting to see a number of new devices at Mobile World Congress next month, Motorola will be announcing various handsets which will include the new Moto G5 and G5 Plus.
Now the Moto G5 has appeared at the FCC and the filing has revealed that the handset will come with a 3000 mAh battery.
Expected Features and Specifications
The Moto G5 is rumored to come with a 5.5 inch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This resolution ensures that users will enjoy crisp and clear visuals, making it ideal for watching videos, browsing the web, and playing games. The device is also expected to feature high-end cameras, which is a significant selling point for many smartphone users today.
On the front of the handset, there will be a 5-megapixel camera designed for selfies and video calls. This front camera is expected to include features such as beauty mode and wide-angle lens, which are popular among selfie enthusiasts. On the back, there will be a 13-megapixel camera for photos and videos. This rear camera is anticipated to come with advanced features like phase detection autofocus (PDAF), dual-LED flash, and possibly even 4K video recording capabilities.
The handset will also come with 16GB of internal storage. While this may seem modest by today’s standards, it is expected that the Moto G5 will support expandable storage via a microSD card slot, allowing users to increase their storage capacity significantly. This feature is particularly useful for those who store a lot of media files or apps on their devices.
Additional Rumored Features
In addition to the core specifications, there are several other features that are rumored to be part of the Moto G5. One such feature is a fingerprint sensor, which is becoming increasingly common in smartphones for added security and convenience. The fingerprint sensor is likely to be integrated into the home button, allowing for quick and secure unlocking of the device.
Another anticipated feature is the inclusion of a fast-charging capability. With a 3000 mAh battery, fast charging would be a welcome addition, enabling users to quickly recharge their phones and get back to using them without long wait times. This is particularly beneficial for users who are always on the go and rely heavily on their smartphones throughout the day.
The Moto G5 is also expected to run on the latest version of Android, which at the time of its release is likely to be Android 7.0 Nougat. This operating system brings several enhancements, including improved multitasking, better battery management, and a more refined user interface. Additionally, Motorola is known for providing a near-stock Android experience, which means users can expect a clean and responsive interface without much bloatware.
So far, those are the only specifications we know about the device. However, Motorola is holding a press conference on the 26th of February, so we will have more details about the device then. It is also possible that Motorola will unveil other features or even additional models in the Moto G series during this event.
The Moto G5 is shaping up to be a promising mid-range smartphone with a good balance of features and performance. Its combination of a high-resolution display, capable cameras, and expandable storage makes it an attractive option for a wide range of users. As we await the official announcement, the anticipation continues to build, and it will be interesting to see how the Moto G5 compares to other devices in its category.
