Samsung has released two new promo videos for their Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch, the first one is called ‘A Long Time Coming’ and it shows various smart watches that have been seen on TV over the last few years, like the ones used in Star Trek.
The second video shows the evolution of the smart watch, from watches used by Dick Tracy, The Jetsons, Power Rangers, Knight Rider and more, have a look at the videos below.
Samsung are trying their best to promote their Galaxy Gear as the next big thing, they already have more models of this Android powered smart watch in development.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Gear has a 1.63 inch AMOLED display that has a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels, the device is powered by a single core 800MHz processor and also come with 512MB of RAM.
The Galaxy Gear has 4GB of built in storage, and it features a 1.9 megapixel camera, the camera is actually built into the watch strap, the device also comes with a 315mAh battery.
Other companies like Apple and Google are reported to be working on their own smart watches, and Sony just released their Sony SmartWatch 2, we can expect to see quite a few of these devices over the next few years.
