If you have ever used a tablet keyboard that had a small touchpad on it, you know that often those little touchpads aren’t very accurate and the small size can make them hard to use. A new tablet keyboard has hit Indiegogo and it is design to give you all the clicky typing feel you need for comfortable data entry and a big invisible touchpad that makes it easy to control the cursor on screen.
The keyboard is called the Moky and it connects to the tablet via Bluetooth 4.0 LE for long battery life. The IR optical touchpad hides under the keys and you can hover your fingers over the keys to make the touchpad work. To make a click all you need to do is lightly tap the keys.
The touchpad supports gestures for zooming and scrolling and it has buttons under the keyboard for tasks like dragging and clicking. The project is on Indiegogo seeking $30,000 and has raised over $54,000 so far. You can get a Moky keyboard for $69 with shipping expected in October. The company behind the project is in Korea, but will ship globally.
