Microsoft will be replacing their Windows Zune desktop app with their new Xbox Music app, and they will also be releasing a new Windows Companion app for Windows Phone devices.
The app will be used to manage and sync your Windows Phone 8 devices with your PC or Laptop, and it features a Metro style user interface,and is designed to replace the Zune client for Windows Phone 8 users.
The app will apparently be installed automatically when you connect your new Windows Phone 8 smartphone to your Windows 8 PC or Laptop, there will also be a new app for Windows 7 to work with Windows Phone 8 devices, the app is expected to be released in October.
