We had previously thought that Microsoft Cortana would be launching in the UK in July, although Microsoft recently confirmed the voice activated assistant would not land in the UK this month, and would launch later in the year.
Microsoft Cortana is currently only available in the U.S. on Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform, and now it would appear we may have some details on when it will land in the UK.
Mobile carrier O2 has revealed that they will be launcing Microsoft Cortana on Windows Phone devices on their network some time in quarter four, this possibly means that Microsoft will launch Cortana in the UK in quarter four.
Of course this could just be specifically for mobile carrier O2, and it could launch on other carriers and SIM free handsets earlier than this.
Microsoft is also said to be working on bringing Cortana to other devices, which will included tablet, desktops and laptops and also their new Xbox One console.
As soon as we get some more information on exactly when Microsoft’s voice activated virtual assistant will finally land on Windows Phone devices in the UK, we will let you guys know.
