Hardware manufacturer Mele has announced plans to launch a new mini PC stick during the summer months of 2018 equipped with a Gemini Lake processor and taking the form of the Mele PCG02 GML3. The fanless computer will be powered by the new Intel Gemini Lake processors providing extra performance for video and graphics applications as well as offering a slight CPU processing boost.
The news was provided by Mele during an interview with the team at Notebook Italia during a metre at the Hong Kong Sourcing Fair, revealing the new mini PC stick will be available sometime around June 2018 priced at $180. MeleWill be offering a choice of systems equipped with either an Intel Celeron N4000 dual-core or Celeron N4100 quad-core processor supported by up to 6 GB of LPDDR3 memory, with all models shipping with 32GB of eMMC storage. Other features include connections for HDMI 2.0 and support for 10-bit HEVC and VP9 video decoding. With microSD card reader, 2 x USB Type-A ports, 1 x micro USB port, 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity will be provided by support for Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11ac wireless and a Gigabit Ethernet port is also provided.
If you can’t wait till the summer months the older Apollo Lake stick PC is now available to purchase from online retailers such as Aliexpress priced from $180.
