Even though the Maingear Spark Steam Machine missed the CES 2014 launch brochure created by Valve for the range of new Steam Machines that will be launched later this year running Valve’s new SteamOS.
More details and a few images have been released by for the new Maingear Spark Steam Machine which measures just (W)4.5 x (H)2.34 x (D)4.23 inches in size.
The new Maingear Spark Steam Machine is powered by a AMD A8-5557M 3.1GHz processor supported by a AMD Radeon R9 M275X GDDR5 2GB graphics card and capable of accepting up to 16GB of 1600MGz memory in its 2 x SO-DIMM DDR3L slots.
Other features of the Maingear Spark Steam Machine include 1 x mSATA slot support SSD up to 256GB, 1 x 2.5’’ HDD tray support SATA III 6Gb/s, GigabitLAN (Realtek RTL8111G) Realtek ALC269 audio, 1 X Half size mini-PCIe slot occupied by WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac + Bluetooth 4.0 & 3.0 combo half mini card. Supporting IEEE802.11b/g/n,/ac 2.4 -5Ghz bands, Bluetooth: v4.0/ 3.0+HS, 2402MHz~2483MHz. As well as being equipped with 4 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x mSATA slot that supports up to 356GB, and one 2.5″HHD tray supporting SATA III 6GB/s.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet for the Maingear Spark Steam Machine, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
