During its press conference at this years CES 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Valve has unveiled 13 new Steam Machine systems announcing their prices and a few limited specifications too provide gamers with an idea of the Steam Machine range that will be available to choose from later this year.
Unfortunately Valve’s Gabe Newell explained that the Maingear Steam machine was a late to make the brochure and the Alineware specifications are still yet to be fully revealed and only a mock-up device was available to show at a CES 2014 Valve event.
“Entertainment is not a one-size-fits-all world. We want you to be able to choose the hardware that makes sense for you, so we are working with multiple partners to bring a variety of Steam gaming machines to market during 2014, all of them running SteamOS.”
As you can see from the limited specifications and pricing the new Steam Machine systems range from $499 upwards and are available with a variety of hardware specifications and customisations which are sure to be detailed over the coming months.
