Logitech has unveiled a new plug-and-play TV web camera, that’s been designed in partnership with Panasonic and Skype and enables users to make video calls directly from select 2011 Panasonic Viera Connect enabled Viera HDTVs equipped with Skype.
The new web camera doesn’t require any software or a computer to function, all you need do is turn on your Panasonic Viera TV and selecting the Skype video calling application. Once setup the Logitech 720p TV Cam is then capable of making 720p high definition video calls, by either TV-to-TV Skype calls, as well as TV-to-PC or Mac calls and vice versa, and even to select iPhone and smartphones with Skype mobile.
The is fitted with Carl Zeiss optics and uses Logitech Fluid Crystal Technology together with a 78-degree wide-angle lens and two digital, directional microphones that help reduce noise and echoes.
