Last week Google announced the latest version of their mobile OS, Android 4.4 Kit Kat, and a number of manufacturers have released details on devices that will get the update.
LG has yet to officially announce when the LG G2 Android 4.4 Kit Kat update will be available for the handset, but French mobile carrier SFR has revealed when the update will be released.
According to SFR the Android 4.4 Kit Kat update for the LG G2 will be available in December, the company did not give a specific date in December on when the update will be released.
If this date is correct for SFR, then LG could possibly release the LG G2 Android 4.4 Kit Kat update earlier than December, as the mobile carriers usually release the update later than the manufacturers.
So it looks like it will be December at the latest for the Kit Kat update for the LG G2, which is good news for owners of the handset, as soon as we get confirmation of this we will let you guys know.
We have also compiled a list of which manufacturers are releasing the Android 4.4 Kit Kat update for various devices, you can find out more details about all the device we know about so far here.
