The latest company to launch an ultrabook is LG, with the new LG Xnote Z330, and as you can see from the photos, LG has obviously been paying close attention to Apple’s MacBook Air.
The LG Xnote Z330 features a 13.3 inch display with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, and it comes with a choice of either an Intel Core i5-2467M or Core i7-2637M processor, 4GB or RAM and either a 120GB or 256GB solid state drive (SSD).
The Xnote Z330 measures just 14.7mm thick and weighs in at about 1.21KG, the Core i5 model will retail for around $1500 whilst the core i7 model will retail for around $1,863, and they will be available in Korea later this month.
Design and Build Quality
The design of the LG Xnote Z330 is sleek and modern, clearly inspired by the minimalist aesthetics of the MacBook Air. The ultrabook’s slim profile and lightweight build make it highly portable, ideal for professionals and students who are always on the go. The brushed aluminum finish not only adds to its premium look but also provides durability. The hinge mechanism is robust, ensuring that the screen remains stable during use. The keyboard is backlit, making it convenient for typing in low-light conditions, and the touchpad is responsive, supporting multi-touch gestures for enhanced usability.
Performance and Features
Under the hood, the LG Xnote Z330 is powered by either an Intel Core i5-2467M or a more powerful Core i7-2637M processor. Both options are part of Intel’s Sandy Bridge lineup, known for their efficient performance and energy-saving capabilities. With 4GB of RAM, the ultrabook can handle multitasking with ease, whether you’re browsing the web, working on documents, or streaming videos. The solid-state drive (SSD) options of 120GB or 256GB ensure fast boot times and quick access to your files and applications.
The 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels offers vibrant colors and sharp details, making it suitable for both work and entertainment. The ultrabook also features a range of connectivity options, including USB 3.0 ports for faster data transfer, an HDMI port for connecting to external displays, and a microSD card slot for additional storage.
Battery life is another strong point of the LG Xnote Z330. Thanks to the energy-efficient components and the SSD, users can expect several hours of usage on a single charge, making it a reliable companion for long flights or extended work sessions.
The Xnote Z330 also comes with pre-installed software that enhances productivity and security. LG’s Smart Share allows for easy file sharing between devices, while the built-in security features help protect your data from unauthorized access.
In terms of audio, the ultrabook is equipped with high-quality speakers that deliver clear and crisp sound, suitable for video calls, music, and movies. The integrated webcam and microphone ensure that you can stay connected with colleagues and loved ones, no matter where you are.
Overall, the LG Xnote Z330 is a well-rounded ultrabook that combines style, performance, and portability. Its competitive pricing, especially for the Core i5 model, makes it an attractive option for those looking for a high-quality ultrabook without breaking the bank.
