Reports are circulating that the latest PlayStation 4 update rolled out by Sony earlier this week is causing issues for some PlayStation owners and causing issues with network connections.
The issues affect the wireless connection completely disabling them on the PlayStation 4 for a number of customers once the PlayStation update version 4.50 which was launched back on March 9th has been installed.
A thread has been started over on the official PlayStation forums about the connectivity issues with users explaining and mentioning error code NW-31297-2 :
I updated my PS4 this morning and after the update it can not connect to wifi, – could not connect to the Wi-Fi network because the Wi-Fi password is not correctly set on the PS4, or the wireless network is busy.
Even two weeks later the issue still seems to be a problem for a number of PlayStation 4 users and unfortunately using a wired connection simply isn’t possible for some gamers. Sony has acknowledged the issue and is currently looking into the situation. As soon as more information is made available we will keep you up-to-date as always.
