Amazon has released a new update for its Kindle Fire Android tablet, and the latest version of the software is 6.3.1 and it comes with a range of new features as well as some new security features.
Amazon has added password protected purchasing and a range of new parental controls in the latest version of their Kindle Fire software, and you can now lock specific content libraries, and disable access to the devices Silk Browser.
The Amazon Kindle Fire 6.3.1 update is around 199MB and can be downloaded to your tablet via your PC and updated via USB, it will also pushed to your device as an OTA update over WiFi.
