iPhone 5S Full Specifications

Yesterday Apple announced their new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, and we now have the full specifications on Apple’s new iPhone 5S which comes with the latest version of Apple’s mobile OS Apple iOS 7.

The iPhone 5S comes with a a 4 inch Retina display that features a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels at 326 pixels per inch and an 800:1 contrast ratio.

The new iPhone 5S has a similar design to the iPhone 5, it measures 123.8mm by 58.6mm by 7.6m thick and weighs in at 112 grams, it comes with a new Apple design processor.

The processor on the iPhone 5S is a new Apple designed A7 processor with 64-bit architecture and a new m7 motion coprocessor, the processor is apparently twice as fast as the Apple A6 processor.

Apple have also updated the camera in the iPhone 5S, it comes with an updated 8 megapixel iSight camera with an f/2.2. lens and a True Tone flash, plus a backside illuminated sensor, plus a five element lens and a hybrid IR filter.

The camera on the iPhone 5S comes with a range of features which include Auto focus, tap to focus, face detection, panorama and a burst mode that can snap up to 10 photos a second.

The iPhone 5S camera can record full HD video in 1080p at 30 frames per second, it also features a slow-mo video mode that can capture video in 720p at 120 frames per second.

on the front of the handset is a 1.2 megapixel Face Time camera that is capable of 720p video, it also comes with a backside illuminated sensor.

One of the major new features on the iPhone 5S is its new fingerprint technology, which Apple calls Touch ID. The Touch ID sensor is located on the handsets home button, and it will unlock your iPhone when you place your finger on the home button.

According to Apple, the iPhone 5S battery will give you up to 10 hours talk time over 3G and up to 250 hours of standby, it will give you up to 8 hours of usage over 3G and up to 10 hours of usage on LTE. It also features up to 40 hours of audio playback and up to 10 hours of audio playback.

The iPhone 5S will go on sale in  Apple store and online on the 20th of September, the iPhone 5S will retail for $199 for the 16GB model on a new two year contract and for $649 without a contract, you can find out more details over at Apple.
