Samsung’s first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, is due to go on sale in the UK later this week. We have already seen a couple of hands-on videos of the device, and now we have a video comparing the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus to Apple’s iPhone 4S.
The video was put together by the guys over at T3, and we get a good look at the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus compared to the new iPhone 4S from Apple.
Key Features of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is packed with a range of impressive features that set it apart from its competitors. One of the standout features is its 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display, which offers a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. This high-definition screen ensures that images and videos are displayed with stunning clarity and vibrant colors.
Another significant feature of the Galaxy Nexus is its 1.2GHz dual-core processor, which provides smooth and efficient performance. This is complemented by 1GB of RAM, ensuring that the device can handle multiple applications and tasks simultaneously without any lag.
The Galaxy Nexus also boasts a 5-megapixel rear camera capable of recording 1080p HD video, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. The camera features include autofocus, LED flash, and various shooting modes, making it a versatile tool for photography enthusiasts.
Comparing the Galaxy Nexus to the iPhone 4S
When comparing the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to the Apple iPhone 4S, several differences and similarities stand out. The iPhone 4S features a smaller 3.5-inch Retina display with a resolution of 960 x 640 pixels. While the screen size is smaller, the Retina display is known for its sharpness and color accuracy.
In terms of processing power, the iPhone 4S is equipped with Apple’s A5 dual-core processor, which is also known for its efficiency and performance. The iPhone 4S comes with 512MB of RAM, which is less than the Galaxy Nexus, but iOS is optimized to run smoothly with this amount of memory.
The camera on the iPhone 4S is an 8-megapixel shooter with advanced optics and the ability to record 1080p HD video. The front-facing camera is a VGA-quality camera, which is less impressive compared to the Galaxy Nexus’s 1.3-megapixel front camera.
