Tao Wellness, a fitness tech company , has announced their new innovation today called the Tao WellShell. It’s an exercise device that tracks your progress via an Android or iOS app that you can download to your phone, much like many other fitness devices that have been released in the last year or so. The difference is that the Tao WellShell solely revolves around squeezing the device in a myriad of different ways.
The point of the device, according to Tao Wellness, is to help people find time to exercise when they’re not at home or at the gym. The app offers more than fifty different ways the user can apply pressure to the WellShell and tracks your activity. It can even give you audio cues for your exercises and track your dietary consumption.
Being a tech geek and someone who writes regularly within the health and fitness sphere, I’m apprised of a lot of the health and fitness tech that’s out there. This one sounds a bit odd. They’re saying it’s for exercise and fitness but it seems more like a high-tech stress ball to me.
You’re not going to squeeze yourself into a smaller size pair of jeans by squeezing a device, but feel free to try it out when it comes out.
