We heard last month that Intel’s new Ivy Bridge platform had been delayed slightly, and now it looks like we have a possible launch date. The first quad-core Ivy Bridge processors from Intel are expected to launch before the end of April.
The news comes from the guys over at Gizmodo. The first Ivy Bridge desktop CPUs will land on the 29th of April, and we should also have some announcements for other Ivy Bridge processors at the same time.
New Mobile and Desktop Processors
We can apparently expect to see some new mobile Core i7 processors as well as Core i7 Extreme processors. These mobile processors are anticipated to bring significant improvements in performance and power efficiency, making them ideal for high-end laptops and ultrabooks.
