It’s still early days yet to know whether the $1 billion Facebook paid for the Instagram service was either a good or a bad move on behalf of Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg. However users now seem to be flocking to the Instagram photo sharing service, since it was purchased by Facebook and launched its new Android application.
In just 22 days the new Android application has added an additional 10 million users to the Instagram ranks, and is now helping the service near a total of 50 million users worldwide, passing passing the 40 million user mark just 2 weeks ago.
If you haven’t already tried Instagram its available for both iOS devices and Android and allows you to easily share a tweak your photographs directly from your smartphone.
“It’s a fast, beautiful and fun way to share your photos with friends and family. Snap a picture, choose a filter to transform its look and feel, then post to Instagram. Share to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr too – it’s as easy as pie. It’s photo sharing, reinvented. Oh yeah, did we mention it’s free?”
