HummingBoard Gate Mini PC

A new mini PC is now available to pre-order in the form of the HummingBoard Gate which is priced starting from just $50 and comes equipped with a single core processor supported by 512 MB of RAM.

However if you are looking for a little more power there are also quad core processor versions available that can be supported by up to 4 GB of RAM and come equipped with connectivity via Bluetooth and wireless, together with optional microSD card for your choice of operating system.

The HummingBoard Gate mini PC is powered by a Freescale i.MX6 processor, but unfortunately does not have any internal storage and relies on its microSD card slot. Other features of the palm-sized PC include 4 x USB ports, 1 xHDMI, 1 x Ethernet jack as well as a 36-pin GPIO header.

The HummingBoard-Gate is the device you have been waiting for to fulfill all your IoT needs.  A low power, full featured board, that can run your MQTT broker to consolidate and route your IoT messaging. You can expand the data you can collect by easily adding sensors using microBUS click boards, then deploy your Node-Red flows to act on the data collected. Want to collect and analyze your data in realtime? Upgrade to a 4×4 MicroSOM and provide realtime visualization of your data points stored in Elasticsearch or MongoDB.  Looking for the home of the future? The HummingBoard-Gate is fully supported by the OpenHAB home automation project.

For more information on the new HummingBoard Gate mini PC jump over to the official website for details via the link below, where it is also now available to pre-order.
