We have been hearing rumors for a while that HTC are working on a new higher end version of the HTC One M8 smartphone, the device was expected to launch as the HTC One M8 Prime.
Serial leaker @evleaks has already showed us some press shots of the new HTC One M8 Prime, and the latest new from him is that HTC has suspended development of the HTC One M8 Prime, you can a quote below.
If you were salty at having purchased an HTC One (M8) when news of the M8 Prime hit, prepare to feel vindicated: development on Prime has been suspended indefinitely.
As yet there are no details on why HTC may have decided to out their plans for the Prime version of the handset on hold, we previously heard a number of rumored specifications on the handset.
The device was rumored to come with HTC Sense 6.5, plus a display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the handset was also rumored to come with an updated processor and more RAM.
We were expecting the new One M8 Prime to launch with a quad core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM, the device was also said to feature updated cameras and LTE Advanced.
As soon as we get some more details on exactly what has happened with the HTC One M8 Prime, we will let you guys know
