Rumors have been talking about the alleged HTC One M8 Prime, and later on, the rumor mill suggested that the handset has been cancelled.
Cancelling the premium version of the HTC One M8 doesn’t mean there will no premium smartphone. According to a new rumor, HTC will release a number of new devices in the coming months, including a flagship device as well.
The report comes from Phone Arena, citing their tipster, who confirms that HTC One M8 Prime is dead, but we’ll see a premium device from the Taiwanese OEM, which will replace the HTC One Max phablet. According to the same tipster, the device will come with a 5.2-inch display, possibly with a 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. That’s all we know about the handset for now, but if we were to guess, this mysterious device should come with top-of-the-line specifications on board.
The same tipster also share some information about the alleged Nexus 8. We’ve seen rumors that HTC will manufacture the upcoming Nexus 8 tablet, but those who are waiting for it to make an appearance at Google I/O, don’t. The tipster says there will no Nexus 8 at Google I/O, instead, it will be launched at a separate event later this year.
That’s all we have for now, but we’ll keep an eye on the rumor mill and update you if we get any more information about the upcoming HTC product line up.
