Musicians looking for an easier way to carry and view sheet music, may be interested in a new portable device called the GVIDO, which is currently under development.
GVIDO is equipped with dual screen E Ink displays specifically designed to provide an optimised way to view sheet music and features a resolution of 1200 x 1600 pixels.
Currently in its prototype stage of design the sheet music reader measures 18.9 x 12.2 x 0.23 inches in size and weighs approximately 1.4lbs. Pages can quickly be turned by a simple tap on either screen and GVIDO provides a great solution if you need to carry lots of different sheet music with you.
Other features of the GVIDO include connectivity via both 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, a handy microSD card slot that allows you to expand the internal 8GB of storage when needed to meet your requirements. One other handy feature is the ability to use a Wacom pen to annotate music scores by hand.
Unfortunately no details on a release date or pricing have been announced as yet for the GVIDO E Ink sheet music reader but as soon as more details become available we will keep you up-to-date as always.
