When you arrive back home from your holidays or short trip away the last thing you normally have time to do is sift through all the photos you have taken during your time away, and collate them into a presentable photo album or travelogue.
Today Google has launched a new service within its Google+ social network called Google Stories which has been specifically designed to collate your photographs and movies and combine them into a presentable travelogue to show your friends, family and help you keep your memories together.
Google explains: “No more sifting through photos for your best shots, racking your brain for the sights you saw, or letting your videos collect virtual dust. We’ll just gift you a story after you get home. This way you can relive your favorite moments, share them with others, and remember why you traveled in the first place.”
The new Google Stories service will be available on Android devices and the web later this week and will be launching on Apple’s iOS mobile operating system in the near future. For more information a demonstration of Google Stories jump over to the Google Blog website.
“Turn on Auto Backup and just take videos and photos with your phone as usual. Google+ will automatically make you a beautiful short movie, complete with effects, transitions and a soundtrack.” Check out the demonstration video below.
