Yesterday Google announced their latest Google branded smartphone, the follow up to the original Google Nexus One, the Google Nexus S.
Pricing details for the Nexus S in both the US and UK have now been revealed, in the US the Nexus S will retail for $199 on a two year contract, if you want to buy the Nexus S SIM free it will be available for $529 unlocked, it is being sold exclusively through Best Buy in the US.
In the UK, the Google Nexus S will be available from the Carphone Warehouse, and it will be available on both contract and pay as you go options.
The Carphone Warehouse are offering the Nexus S for free on a range of different contracts, starting at £35 per month, if you want to purchase it on pay as you go or SIM free, the Nexus S will be available for a rather pricey £549.95.
As a reminder, the Google Nexus S comes with the latest version of Android, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and it features 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, there is also a 1GHZ cortex A8 hummingbird processor a five megapixel camera and a front facing VGA camera.
Other specifications on the Nexus S include Near Field Communication, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, integrated 802.11 b/g/n/ WiFi, A-GPS, a microUSB port and a 1500 mAh battery.
The Google Nexus S will be available in the US from the 16th of December 2010 and in the UK from the 20th of December 2010.
