At the Google I/O developer conference in San Francisco the Google +1 button development team demonstrated how its new social button can be added to websites and has suggested that the new Google +1 button could be arriving very shortly, even within the next couple of weeks.
The Google team also showed examples of its +1 button statistics that would be made available, through a suite of analytics similar to the Google Analytics dashboard, once enough people have used a website’s +1 button.Google did add though that the layouts and exact statistics might vary when the Google +1 button is officially launched. Watch a quick video explaining the new Google +1 button after the jump.
The Google +1 button will have a counter display similar to how other buttons from Facebook and Twitter work, however there is be a simple code generator that allows users to set the required size, and whether to include a count and other options with the button on their websites.
