At Computex this week, Fresco Logic has unveiled their new USB 3.0 FL2000 Audio-Video Class display controller. Fresco Logic say the FL2000 is the worlds first of its kind, and conforms to the USB-IF’s recently released A/V device class specifications.
The FL2000 USB 3.0 Audio-Video Class display controller, has been designed to make it easy for ultrabook, notebook, tablet and smartphone owners to add an additional screen to their systems. Without the need to install or invest in dedicated video or audio connections.
No information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Fresco Logic. But Robert McVay, CTO of Fresco Logic explains:
“Fresco Logic is very excited about the new USB A/V class because we think USB is uniquely positioned to simultaneously deliver sophisticated audio/video capabilities – and more — with a single connection,”.
