If you read much in the world of the slick Ford Focus RS, you will find that some cars have had some serious issues with the head gaskets. Ford is finally stepping up and taking some responsibility for owners of the cars facing this issue. The program is called Customer Satisfaction Program 17B32. Snazzy name.
The program states that the cylinder head gasket in the car may develop a coolant leak into the engine combustion chamber. The issue is noted by most as white smoke from the exhaust and dropping coolant levels. Ford has agreed to replace the head gasket and perform pressure tests on all affected cars.
Ford is also willing to replace the cylinder head. All repairs will be free of charge and the program will run through January 31, 2019. All Focus RS vehicles built from August 3, 2015 through July 6, 2017 will be covered and there are no mileage limits. If you have a car and have already paid to fix it yourself, there will be no reimbursement from Ford.
