If you happen to own a set of the high-quality Beats Solo, Beats Studio, or Bose Quiet Comfort headphones and think they’re perfect other than the wire, you are in luck. A product is up on Kickstarter called Flow that will turn any of those headphones wireless. I can’t see why this accessory wouldn’t work with any headphones that have a removable cable using a standard 3.5 mm plug on one of the ear cups.
The Flow accessory has Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR & APTX technology inside. It has capacitive touch sensors to control volume, track, and power. The Bluetooth connectivity accessory adds has a 30-foot wireless range and the battery is good for up to 12 hours.
The Flow accessory has a small dock that plugs into the 3.5 mm headphone port on the ear cup of compatible headphones. The Bluetooth accessory itself then plugs into that dock turning your wired headphones wireless. The project is seeking $250,000 in funding and so far has raised almost $30,000 with 34 days to go. You have to pledge at least $50 to get the Flow when it ships. Shipping is estimated for December of this year.
