Facebook is apparently testing out a new ‘Buy Button’, which will allow you to make purchases without having to leave the world’s largest social network.
The new feature will allow you to make a purchase from within Facebook, on your news feed pages, in Facebook posts and also in adverts.
Instead of clicking a link to a merchants website to buy something, this can be done within Facebook, without you having to leave their website. The company has confirmed that this new feature is privacy safe, and your payment details will will not be passed on to advertisers.
At the moment the company will not be charging businesses and companies who use the Buy Button feature, although this could change in the future, if the service becomes popular, as Facebook could add another revenue stream to their website.
This new Facebook Buy Button feature is apparently being tested in the U.S, we presume if the tests go well then Facebook will roll out the feature to other countries in the future. As soon as we get more information on when the company intends to expand their new Buy button to other countries, we will let you guys know.
