Facebook And Google are both going to crack down on fake news websites that have been using their advertising to spread fake news.
Over the last week there have been a lot of questions about how these fake news website may have influenced the US election by spreading misinformation.
Now both Google and Facebook have announced that they will not be tolerating these fake news websites in the future and will be banning them from advertising on their websites.
Facebook have come under a lot of criticism over the last week, specifically relating to a fake news article that claimed that the pope endorsed President Elect Donald Trump. Another fake story about the final election count apparently appeared in the top of Google.
It will be interesting to see what these companies do to stop these fake news stories and whether they will be able to get rid of all of them.
