AAEON the division of ASUS that specialises in designing and manufacturing embedded computer systems, has this month unveiled a new addition to their range of embedded hardware in the form of the AAEON NANOCOM-KBU. The world’s first COM Express Type 10 development board to be powered by a 7th Gen Intel Core U processor, says the company. The powerful Core processor is supported by 4GB DDR4 memory and includes a graphics engine that supports 4K Ultra HD applications, making for a powerful embedded solution to power your next project.
Other features of the NANOCOM-KBU include an upgraded embedded controller structure, together with a real-time interrupt for faster response rates, offering users power control and battery management systems. The included I2C bus also supports a range of IC formats, enabling users to easily integrate the module into their own custom applications and carrier boards says AAEON.
Specifications for the NANOCOM-KBU include 5V/12V CD input support, a 1GbE LAN port, 8 x USB2.0 and 2 x USB3.0 ports, 2 x SATA 2 interfaces, and 4 x PCI-E expansion slots, as well as a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
