EXOPC will be showing something new off at next year’s CES, which takes place in January, the EXOdesk, which is an interactive desk, sort of similar to the Microsoft Surface in desk form.
As you will see in the video below, the desk can be customized to display a number of different things, including virtual keyboards, widgets, Twitter feeds, RSS feeds, and more. Have a look at the video of it in action below.
Customization and Features
The EXOdesk is designed to be highly customizable, allowing users to tailor the interface to their specific needs. This interactive desk can display a variety of virtual elements, such as keyboards, widgets, and feeds. For instance, you can have a virtual keyboard appear on the desk surface, which can be particularly useful for those who prefer a digital typing experience. Additionally, the desk can show widgets that provide quick access to essential tools and information, such as weather updates, calendar events, and more.
One of the standout features of the EXOdesk is its ability to integrate social media feeds directly onto the desk surface. Imagine having your Twitter feed or RSS feeds displayed right in front of you while you work. This can be incredibly useful for staying updated with the latest news and trends without having to switch between different devices or screens.
Potential Applications
The potential applications for the EXOdesk are vast and varied. In a professional setting, the desk could be used to enhance productivity by providing quick access to essential tools and information. For example, graphic designers could use the desk to display design tools and palettes, while architects could use it to view and manipulate blueprints and 3D models.
In an educational setting, the EXOdesk could be used as an interactive learning tool. Teachers could use the desk to display educational content, interactive lessons, and multimedia presentations. Students could benefit from a more engaging and interactive learning experience, with the ability to interact directly with the content displayed on the desk.
For home use, the EXOdesk could serve as a central hub for managing household tasks and entertainment. Families could use the desk to keep track of schedules, manage to-do lists, and even control smart home devices. Additionally, the desk could be used for entertainment purposes, such as playing games, watching videos, and browsing the internet.
It will be interesting to see what the EXOdesk is like and how it can be customized to suit your specific needs. Hopefully, we should have a lot more information in January. From what we have seen so far, it looks amazing.
